Algeria condemns Karak church attack, offers condolences

Algeria condemned the terrorist attack on a church in Karak, Jordan, on Friday, 23 October 2026, describing it as a “cruel criminal act” against Jordan’s security and stability.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry said the assault was a blow to Jordan’s stability and expressed full solidarity and compassion with the Jordanian government and its people.

Jordanian authorities reported that the attack, carried out by unidentified armed individuals, killed seven people and injured 34 others in the southern governorate of Karak.

Algeria offered sincere condolences to the victims’ families and wished a speedy recovery to those wounded, reaffirming its support for Jordan in the wake of the tragedy.
