Algeria Cuts Diplomatic Ties with UAE Amid New Hostile Actions

Algeria announced on Thursday it is unilaterally breaking diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates after recording new clandestine hostile actions against its interests.

The Ministry of National Defence (MDN) said the UAE had financed fugitive Amir Boukhors to incite subversion and had supported him in recruiting elements for sabotage plans inside Algeria.

Algeria warned it will not hesitate to retaliate against any further UAE provocations and stressed it will not lower the white flag despite the aggression.

The UAE responded by expressing hope that the diplomatic rupture is temporary, even as its global reputation has collapsed following the break.

Both sides remain at odds, with Algeria poised to defend its sovereignty while the UAE seeks a reversal of the diplomatic cut, a development that could shape regional dynamics.
