Algeria Futsal Team Eliminated by Angola in AFCON Semi-Final

Algeria's national futsal side were knocked out of the 2026 African Futsal Cup of Nations after a 3-2 defeat to Angola in the semi‑final on Monday, 19 October 2026, at the Moulay Abdellah complex in Rabat.

The Algerians had taken a 2-0 lead into the second half, with goals from Mathieu Hammad and Rayen Ait Hamadouche, but Angola rallied in the latter period to score three unanswered goals and secure a place in the final.

The team, coached by Noureddine Benamrouche, will now contest the third‑place playoff against Egypt on Wednesday, 21 October 2026, at 18:00.

Algeria's loss ends their campaign without a chance to contest the tournament final, leaving them to aim for a podium finish in the upcoming classification match.
