Algeria opens 148 inspector posts in English and PE

The Ministry of National Education has announced a new professional examination for the grade of primary‑school inspector, limited to two specialities: English language and physical education. The recruitment will create 148 budgeted posts for the 2026 fiscal year, with vacancies displayed from 18 October to 8 November 2026.

Of the total, 118 positions will be allocated to physical education and 30 to English. The allocation follows a directive from the General Directorate of Public Service and Administrative Reform dated 12 October 2026, which authorised the educational sector to launch the procedure.

Candidates will be informed by their schools, the wilaya education directorates and through official online channels. Applications and file tracking will be handled exclusively via the sector’s digital portal at https://mowadf.education.dz.

The ministry said the focus on these two subjects reflects their growing importance in early‑grade classrooms and the lack of a structured inspection body. Inspectors will support teachers, correct pedagogical shortcomings and promote consistent teaching methods across schools.

The aim is to raise overall learning standards at the primary level, ensuring uniform quality nationwide and providing teachers with a competent specialist in their subject area.

This recruitment follows a summer operation that offered more than 26,000 posts across a range of roles including special educators, supervisors and laboratory staff.
