Algeria’s U15 national team secured a 1-0 victory over Argentina on Saturday, 24 October 2026, in Baku, Azerbaijan. The decisive goal was scored by Meharzi, giving the young Algerian squad a crucial early win in the FIFA World Cup and FIFA Festival 2026.

The tournament, running from 24 to 30 October, features 191 national teams and nearly 1,000 matches. The competition utilises a unique 8-vs-8 format, with two 20-minute halves played per match. Algeria is grouped in Group B alongside Oman, Malawi, Suriname, Argentina, and Taiwan.
