Minister Farid Kourtel inspected three industrial units in Aïn M’lila, Oum El Bouaghi province (wilaya), on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

The visit focused on manufacturers supplying the automotive sector, including FORCE PLASTIQUE and ABS AUTO PARTS. FORCE PLASTIQUE employs 82 people and covers 76% of the national market with local integration rates between 80% and 100%.

ABS AUTO PARTS produces 720,000 brake sets annually, meeting 60% of national demand. The unit currently has 22 staff members but aims to increase its workforce to 70 by January 2027.

The third unit, PIONEER FILTER, produces 3,000 filters daily and employs 37 people. It also hosts university interns as part of its operational structure.

Kourtel urged the operators to increase production capacity, adhere to quality standards, and use local raw materials. He also encouraged them to explore export markets to expand their reach beyond domestic borders.

During the visit, the minister promised administrative easing for investors to support these industrial efforts. These inspections align with broader national goals, as President Abdelmadjid Tebboune plans for the first fully Algerian car by the end of 2028.
