General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate for the Ministry of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), presided over a national seminar on Sunday, 25 October 2026.

The seminar, titled "Les médias nationaux et les guerres hybrides : relever les défis et gagner le pari," was organised by the ANP Staff Information and Communication Directorate and took place at the National Army Circle in Béni Messous, Algiers.

The Ministry of National Defence issued a communiqué confirming the event, highlighting its focus on the challenges posed by hybrid warfare and the role of national media in addressing them.

Participants included senior military communications officers and media representatives, who discussed strategies to counter misinformation and enhance public resilience against hybrid threats.

The seminar is part of the ANP's broader effort to strengthen information operations and will inform future training programmes within the People's National Army.
