Arab League deems Zionist attacks on southern Lebanon unacceptable

The Arab League’s Secretary‑General, Nabil Fahmi, condemned the repeated Zionist assaults on southern Lebanon as "unacceptable" during a visit to the country on Tuesday.
Fahmi said the League is determined to strengthen cooperation with all parties and to translate collective Arab action into concrete political measures. He recalled that the League’s first ministerial resolution on the Lebanese issue was adopted in September last year, addressing the situation in its entirety.
The resolution aims to tackle the root causes of the crisis, including the ongoing Zionist aggression along the Lebanese frontier, which violates international resolutions, and the attacks on Lebanese citizens and state capacities.
Fahmi emphasised that support for Lebanon represents a political commitment of the Arab world and the League. He added that this commitment relies on addressing the underlying causes of the crisis and providing the necessary resources to Lebanese institutions to enable them to carry out their duties.
