Chelfi Makes Diriyah Debut in Victory Over Al Riyadh

Lovro Chelfi made his professional debut for Diriyah on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, wearing the number 25 shirt. The young player was selected to start against Al Riyadh, a decision that placed him ahead of Algerian international Adil Boulbina in the starting lineup.

Diriyah secured a 1-0 victory in the Saudi Pro League match, with Oscar Rodriguez providing the decisive goal just 13 minutes into the contest. Chelfi remained on the pitch for the majority of the game before being substituted by Boulbina in the 66th minute.

Manager Victor Lekhal confirmed the selection choice following the result. "Chelfi was chosen over Boulbina for the match," Lekhal stated, highlighting the tactical decision for this fixture.

The win moves Diriyah to seventh place in the current Saudi Pro League standings. The club will continue their campaign later this season, with further fixtures scheduled in the coming weeks as they look to climb higher in the table.
