Czech Prime Minister Babis arrives in Algeria to boost economic ties

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis landed at Algiers International Airport on Monday beginning a three‑day visit aimed at deepening bilateral economic cooperation.

He was greeted by Algerian counterpart Sifi Ghrieb alongside senior government members, as a ministerial delegation and several Czech economic operators accompanied him.

The itinerary includes an Algiers‑Czech business forum where representatives from both countries will discuss trade, investment and commercial exchanges.

During the visit, officials plan to sign multiple agreements designed to boost bilateral economic cooperation and raise relations to a higher level.

Both leaders said the talks demonstrate a shared intention to strengthen partnership and expand commercial opportunities between Algeria and the Czech Republic.
