Feyenoord rejected a €42.5 million transfer offer from Al-Ittihad for Anis Hadj Moussa on the final day of the summer market, leaving the Algerian international at his current club.
According to Feyenoord CEO Robert Eenhoorn, the Saudi club failed to meet the financial conditions required to proceed. Al-Ittihad had proposed a first payment of 10% of the total fee but never provided the requested bank guarantee. Eenhoorn described the approach as unserious, citing the lack of concrete financial security.
Hadj Moussa remains a key figure for Feyenoord, who currently top the Eredivisie. The midfielder has contributed five goals and one assist this season, demonstrating his continued importance to the squad's strong start.
Hadj Moussa will continue his campaign in the Netherlands. Feyenoord will focus on their upcoming fixtures, maintaining their position at the summit of the league table.
