Ibn-Khaldoun University to Create 80 Medical Posts in Tiaret

Nearly 80 new positions will be created at the medical faculty of Ibn‑Khaldoun University, a move that will boost medical staffing in the province (wilaya) of Tiaret.

The new posts include 50 hospital‑university teaching roles, with specialties to be defined jointly by the ministries of higher education and health. In addition, 27 resident doctors will be recruited through a combined effort by the two ministries.

The faculty, situated in Tiaret city, already houses an independent teaching facility with 13 classrooms, four amphitheatres and other equipment, and currently serves about 1,100 students.

Hospital structures linked to the faculty will feature a mother‑child complex, an ophthalmology and ORL hospital, a cancer treatment regional complex and a psychiatry hospital. These facilities are intended to improve the quality of care in Tiaret, Tissemsilt and Ksar‑Chellala provinces.

The positions will become active after the completion of recruitment procedures, which are scheduled to commence shortly. Once filled, the new posts will enhance both teaching and clinical services across the region.
