Kaylia Nemour Wins Two World Titles in Rotterdam

Kaylia Nemour secured a second world title for Algeria by winning gold on the uneven bars at the 2026 World Championships in Rotterdam on Saturday 24 October, scoring 15.333 points. She retained her 2025 world title, having first won the event in Jakarta, Indonesia, and finished ahead of Germany’s Helen Kevric (14.833) and the United States’ Skye Blakely (14,600).

The following day, Nemour added a second gold to her collection, taking the beam final on Sunday 25 October with a score of 14.566. She edged Chinese gymnast Zhang Qingying, who shared the same score but was placed behind her, while Brazil’s Flávia Saraiva earned bronze with 14,300. At 19 years old, the French‑born athlete has represented Algeria internationally since 2022 and previously captured Olympic gold on uneven bars at Paris 2024, becoming the first African gymnast to win an Olympic title in artistic gymnastics. She also earned silver on uneven bars at the 2023 World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium.

Nemour said, "I am proud to bring another gold to Algeria, continuing our legacy." The 2026 World Championships, scheduled for 24–26 October in Rotterdam, confirm her status as a leading figure in artistic gymnastics worldwide. The final day of competition, 26 October, is yet to take place and will determine the remaining medallists.
