MC Alger has been drawn in Group B of the CAF Champions League alongside Zamalek SC of Egypt, Young Africans of Tanzania, and Club Africain of Tunisia, following the draw held in Cairo on Wednesday. The defending Algerian champions are the country's sole representatives remaining in the competition.
The first matchday of the group stage will take place between 27 and 29 November 2026. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, with the eventual tournament winner set to receive six million dollars in prize money.
MC Alger reached the group stage for the sixth time in the club's history after overcoming a first-leg deficit against Nigerian side Enugu Rangers. Having lost 2-0 away on 18 October 2026, the Algerian side won the return leg 3-0 on 23 October 2026 to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Their group stage opponents bring strong continental records. Five-time African champions Zamalek SC were finalists in the previous Confederation Cup, while Young Africans reached the final of the same competition in 2023.
