MC Alger will host Enugu Rangers at Stade Ali-Ammar in Douéra on Friday, 23 October 2026, at 20:00. The Algerian side faces a significant challenge as it seeks to overturn a 2-0 deficit from the first leg, which Enugu Rangers won at MKO-Abiola in Abeokuta on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
Head coach Khaled Ben Yahia will field a squad missing defender Oussama Benhaoua, who is suspended, and captain Ayoub Abdellaoui, who is injured. The status of Guinean striker Mohamed Saliou Bangoura remains uncertain. However, the team will benefit from the return of midfielder Mohamed Benkhemassa and striker Ben Ahmed Kohili.
The match will be officiated by Lesotho referee Retselisitsoe David Molise, assisted by Souru Phatsoane and Siza Shaun Dlangamandla, with Sephaphathi Adam serving as the fourth official. MC Alger is aiming to secure its third consecutive qualification for the CAF Champions League group stage.
Historically, MC Alger has faced Enugu Rangers before, most notably defeating them 3-0 in the 1976 CAF Cup semi-final. The upcoming fixture offers the Algerian club a chance to replicate past success and progress in the current continental competition.
