Mouloudia Club d’Alger (MCA) secured a 3-0 victory over Enugu Rangers in the return leg of the CAF Champions League second preliminary round, clinching a 3‑2 aggregate win and a place in the group stage for the first time in the club’s history.
The match, held on 23 October 2026 at Stade Ali‑Ammar in Douéra, saw MCA overturn a 2‑0 deficit from the first leg in Nigeria. All three goals came in extra time, with Bayazid netting the decisive strike at 90+3 minutes to seal the win.
A packed home crowd celebrated the triumph, as the stadium was full and ticket offices were closed. The atmosphere was electric, reflecting the significance of the achievement for the club and its supporters.
MCA’s qualification marks a historic milestone, and the team will now prepare for the group stage matches scheduled to begin in early 2027, where they will face some of Africa’s top clubs.
