Government representatives were also present, underscoring the state’s endorsement of the media sector’s achievements.
Among the guests were ANIRA President Amar Bendjedda and Niger’s Office National de la Communication (ONC) President Ibrahim Manzo Diallo, who arrived with a delegation to observe the celebrations and reinforce regional media ties.
A documentary film was screened during the ceremony, tracing the evolution of Algerian media from the wartime publication "La Résistance algérienne" through independence and the subsequent reforms that shaped the modern press environment.
The ceremony highlighted the continued relevance of Algeria’s press institutions and set a tone for future collaborations, with organisers indicating that further events will be planned to mark upcoming milestones in the sector’s development.
