The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications will launch an awareness campaign against online scams on Sunday, 25 October 2026, running through 30 October.

The initiative aims to warn citizens not to share personal data online and highlights that postal services and banks never request such information via SMS, the ministry said.

Advice in the campaign urges users to verify sender addresses, watch for language errors, avoid suspicious links and refrain from entering data on unofficial sites. It also reminds account holders never to share access codes with third parties.

Further recommendations include updating security software, using strong passwords, enabling two‑step verification and confirming any requests through official telephone numbers.
