Ministry of Education sets start dates for 2026-27 staff training cycles

The Ministry of National Education has detailed the organization of its 2026-27 staff training programmes following Circular No 437 issued on 27 October 2026. Specialized promotion training and pre-promotion training will begin on 2 November 2026 at the National Institute for the Training and Improvement of Education Staff (INFPE) and on 8 November at national education institutes.

Specialized promotion training, governed by an interministerial decree from 17 March 2026, will run continuously as a residential course for one academic year. It applies to primary, middle, and secondary school directors, alongside primary, middle, and secondary education inspectors, guidance inspectors, and financial and material management inspectors.

Pre-promotion training, regulated by an interministerial decree from 16 January 2026, will alternate over six to seven months depending on rank. It targets education supervisors, chief supervisors, general supervisors, sub-intendants, sub-intendant managers, and principal laboratory attachés.

Sessions will take place at INFPE, national institutes, and local schools according to a national roadmap drawn up on 24-25 October 2026. Staff are required to return to their original posts after each in-person session, as inter-session periods do not exempt them from regular duties unless authorized by regulations.
