OPGI has launched a rent‑payment awareness campaign across all wilayas, targeting social housing tenants with overdue rents.

The initiative, rolled out today, will use door‑to‑door visits, posters and formal notices to urge tenants to settle arrears immediately, warning that legal action and penalties may follow.

Tenants who ignore the final notice face judicial recourse via a bailiff, while OPGI offers mobile collection teams equipped with CIB and Gold card terminals to take payments on the spot.

Payments can also be made at any OPGI agency or through the "ijari" online platform, and the agency will provide repayment plans tailored to the length of the delay.

Despite low rental rates, many families still struggle to meet obligations, prompting OPGI to combine enforcement with flexible repayment options.
