Oran Film Festival launches cinema caravan for historic uprising

The Oran International Arab Film Festival will roll out a cinema caravan across nine districts from 24 October to 2 November, showcasing short revolutionary films for the 72nd anniversary of the 1 November 1954 liberation uprising.

The travelling programme will visit public squares in each district, with the first stop set for 1 November Square in the Oran municipality at 19:00 local time on 24 October.

The selection focuses on short films that commemorate the 1954 uprising, aiming to bring the historic narrative to a wide audience in open‑air settings.

Coordination of the caravan is being handled by the Directorate of Culture and Arts of Oran, which has overseen the logistical planning for the nine‑district circuit.
