The 29th Algiers International Book Fair kicks off today

Assembly President Aziz Nasri inaugurated the 29th Algiers International Book Fair on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at the Palais des Expositions, Algiers.

The fair runs from 28 October to 7 November 2026 under the slogan “Tomorrow between the pages of a book”. A total of 1,567 publishing houses from 51 countries are taking part in the event.

Saudi Arabia is the guest of honour for this edition, highlighting the international character of the programme.

The public urban and suburban transport agency (ETUSA) has scheduled special shuttle trips for visitors from 28 October to 7 November 2026. "Special trips will start on Wednesday 28 October and run until 7 November," an ETUSA spokesperson said.

First shuttles depart at 09:00 from designated stations and the last departure from the exhibition hall is at 19:30. Routes link the hall with Martyrs Square, Tafoura, Oul Meï, Oudan, Harrach, Baraki, Ben Aknoun, Quba, Hamadi, Rouiba and Sidi Abdullah.
