Rubio says Ukraine war must end through negotiations

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Breitbart News that the conflict in Ukraine should be resolved by diplomatic means, even though the current situation makes that difficult.

Rubio explained that the United States remains willing and able to act as a mediator if an opportunity arises to end the war through negotiation, stating that "it is the only way it will end," but that it will not be easy.

He added that Washington will continue to look for possible solutions while also managing other foreign‑policy priorities.

Rubio’s remarks reaffirm the U.S. position that a negotiated settlement is the preferred outcome for the Ukraine conflict.
