The University Publications Office announced on 26 October 2026 that it will release 60 new scientific and academic titles in English before the end of the year.

The new releases will raise the office's English‑language catalogue to over 100 titles, strengthening its role in national university publishing.

The move follows the office's strategy to develop national university publishing and expand Algerian scientific knowledge internationally. It implements directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop scientific publishing and increase English use in universities.

"We aim to support national scientific output and facilitate access for students, professors and researchers," the office said in its statement.
